ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF OUR CURRENT REPUBLICAN ADMINISTRATION IN MENDHAM BOROUGH
Responsible for procuring over $ 5,000,000.00 in Grant Monies. Including Grants to pay for the Total Renovation of Phoenix House (Our 200 year old Town Hall). There is even a working bathroom opened the other day on Patriots Path. After being closed for 30 years.
Held the line on taxes in Mendham Borough. Kept our property tax increase to 2% despite rising Insurance, Material & Labor Costs.
Modernizing the Borough’s Operations and Communications to Residents by starting the Nixle Resident Alert System. Implementing the Steps Program to improve employee retention. Bringing the Water Reclamation Facility up to State Certification. Upgrading Software in the Building Dept. to make permitting easier & quicker.
Restructuring the Police Dept to create a Public Safety Director & Officer in Charge, improve training, morale & responsiveness.
Development of Sisters of Charity & Daytop. Trenton Democrats passed Round 4 of the Mt Larel Affordable Housing Mandates last year. The Borough under current leadership made sure we obtained a Final Judgement in Compliance with State Law. This is to insure we do not open ourselves to Builders Remedy Lawsuits where a judge can impose High Density Housing without local input. Additionally, the Borough joined other towns in suing to overturn this mandate. The Borough is also aggressively pursuing expanding Veterans Housing at our MASH location, Over 55 Community at the Sisters of Charity and creating Nature Preserves as part of Any Development!!
